Traveling to Vancouver was the most amazing experience. I saw some of the most amazing, beautiful scenery of my life. An absolute beautiful city, on the ocean, with gorgeous mountains in the backdrop. This is the perfect romantic getaway from renting bikes on the amazing Stanley Park trail system, to renting a car and driving to Whistler on the Sea to Sky highway 99 through the mountains along the coast line. Some of the best pictures we have taken. We highly recommend traveling to Vancouver.

Vancouver The varied cultures have come together to create a sophisticated, dynamic and vibrant city that remains uniquely Canadian. It's a place where the giant carved totem poles of the indigenous population mix easily with signs of homage to the British queen, where the dim sum includes wild Pacific salmon and bok choy. Vancouver would be a first-rate city even if it weren't surrounded by water and towering mountains. The fresh, salty breezes are a bonus, as is the fact that wise urban planners left about as much space within city limits for woods and parkland as they did for developers in the main downtown area. I hadn't been to Stanley Park in years and had forgotten how beautiful it was. I would recommend at least a full day to explore the park fully, as we spent 4 hours in the aquarium itself, seeing the shows and going through all the displays. Stanley Park is a 1000 acre park, at Vancouver's downtown core. The gorgeous surroundings, west coast flora and fauna and majestic vistas available make it a wonderful oasis in an exciting urban setting.

There is so much to see in Vancouver itself, especially for those interested in architecture and the city's heritage. One of the older areas of the city, and certainly one of the most affluent, Shaughnessy offers some truly incredible homes on a lovely walk through this posh neighborhood of Vancouver. Explore the Gastown Area
The Gastown area of Vancouver was named for a talkative Yorkshire-born saloon owner, John Deighton, nicknamed Gassy Jack. Gassy Jack showed up with a barrel of whisky on the south shore of Burrard Inlet, and told the mill workers there they could have all the whisky they could drink if they helped him build his saloon-which they did. It only took 24 hours. It is the only one of its kind in the world. Are you a shopping addict? Whether you're searching for designer labels or kitschy retro furniture; ceramic mugs or Cartier jewelry; hand-blown glass sculptures, salt-water taffy, Italian shoes or organic green tea-Vancouver has it all.
